Part 3 of the documentary film series, Agriculture in South America is shot in Chile. The Central Valley in Chile lies between the Andes and the Pacific. It is one of the most productive arable regions in the world. This documentary report takes you to the wine and tomato harvests and shows how European agricultural technology is used on the other side of the world. To make this documentary the film-makers, Jörn and Tammo Gläser visited numerous large and small agricultural businesses in different regions of Chile. They also show you dozens of agricultural machines during the potato and maize harvest, often framed by the impressive panorama of the Andes or the spectacular volcanoes.
