We\u2019ll never for\u00adget our first shots of the Fendt Favo\u00adrit 800 and 900 trac\u00adtors dri\u00adven by various agri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral con\u00adtrac\u00adtors. We pro\u00addu\u00adced our first film com\u00adpi\u00adla\u00adtion entit\u00adled \u201cFive Hours of Farm Machi\u00adnery \u2013 Across All Areas\u201d on VHS tape. We made our first sales via news\u00adpa\u00adper adverts and were super proud of each farm machi\u00adnery video tape we sold.<\/p>\n

We just kept on gathe\u00adring mate\u00adrial! Tammo recor\u00added the video foo\u00adtage and J\u00f6rn took the pho\u00adtos. J\u00f6rn got his first digi\u00adtal camera in the sum\u00admer of 2003 and one of his first \u2018digi\u00adtal\u2019 sub\u00adjects was a Claas Xer\u00adion 2500 trac\u00adtor. With the new camera in tow, we set off on our bikes and not long after with the car, to hunt for more and more far\u00adming and farm machi\u00adnery sub\u00adjects to film in the sur\u00adroun\u00adding area. We secu\u00adred a small web\u00adsite and from then on, shared many of our farm machi\u00adnery pho\u00adtos online with a gro\u00adwing com\u00admu\u00adnity of fel\u00adlow enthu\u00adsi\u00adasts. Our first web\u00adsite domain \u2013 www.vario716.de \u2013 is still active today. We made our first farm machi\u00adnery DVD entit\u00adled \u201cAutumn 2003 \u2013 Beet Har\u00advest in Focus\u201d on our home PC. Just like our VHS cas\u00adset\u00adtes, we made copies of the DVDs in our child\u00adhood bed\u00adroom. Our par\u00adents sup\u00adported us from the very begin\u00adning with every new idea we had, and mana\u00adged all the ship\u00adping and accoun\u00adting tasks for our small family business.<\/p>\n

Our film archive was fil\u00adling up fast and by now, we\u2019d alre\u00adady docu\u00admen\u00adted the main types of field work in our region. In the sum\u00admers of 2004 and 2005, we went to film in Meck\u00adlen\u00adburg-Vor\u00adpom\u00admern for the first time and got the chance to see some mega-sized farm machi\u00adnery<\/a>. We recor\u00added ever\u00ady\u00adthing on a MiniDV camera from then on. We\u2019ll never for\u00adget film\u00ading our first arti\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adted trac\u00adtor, a John Deere 9320<\/a>, in the out\u00adskirts of Mag\u00adde\u00adburg. The foo\u00adtage we took of this and many other machi\u00adnes was made into fea\u00adture-length films with titles such as \u201cFarm Machi\u00adnery Per\u00adfec\u00adtion\u201d and \u201cAgri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral Adven\u00adture\u201d. We con\u00adtin\u00adued to repro\u00adduce the farm machi\u00adnery DVDs in our child\u00adhood bed\u00adroom. We had also star\u00adted to reach inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal cus\u00adto\u00admers via eBay.<\/p>\n

To cele\u00adbrate the 25th anni\u00adver\u00adsary of Blunk Agri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral Con\u00adtrac\u00adtors, we fol\u00adlo\u00adwed the team throug\u00adhout the far\u00adming year and expe\u00adri\u00admen\u00adted with nar\u00adra\u00adtion for the first time on this farm machi\u00adnery DVD. We were now film\u00ading in HD and shoo\u00adting pho\u00adtos with a sin\u00adgle-lens reflex camera. We used Landtechnikvideos.de as our web\u00adsite URL and brand name from then on. Our dou\u00adble-disc DVD \u201cFour-Wheel Drive \u2013 Drive for More<\/a>\u201c was the first film we had pro\u00addu\u00adced extern\u00adally as part of a lar\u00adger run and the first for which we filmed abroad \u2013 this time in Hun\u00adgary. We also took aerial foo\u00adtage of til\u00adlage work and maize har\u00adve\u00ads\u00adt\u00ading using a gyro\u00adc\u00adop\u00adter and para\u00adgli\u00adder. We sent a mailshot to all our cus\u00adto\u00admers for the first time informing them about the new DVD. How would the far\u00admers react to our came\u00adras, and what would our audi\u00adence think about the idea? We had a lot of ques\u00adti\u00adons on our mind when we embarked on this trip \u2013 it was the first time we\u2019d inves\u00adted any serious amount into a pro\u00adduc\u00adtion. Along\u00adside the film\u00ading work, we also repor\u00adted on our daily expe\u00adri\u00aden\u00adces via a live blog. The two farm machi\u00adnery DVDs \u201cFar\u00adming in North Ame\u00adrica\u201d Volu\u00admes 1 and 2<\/a> were the first we had trans\u00adla\u00adted into Eng\u00adlish and French. Our inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal audi\u00adence that we\u2019d rea\u00adched via dea\u00adlers and publi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons hel\u00adped to increase the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion run. The com\u00admen\u00adtary-free audio track also allo\u00adwed view\u00aders to enjoy the sounds of the audio wit\u00adhout any voice-over. In spite of some serious forest fires, we set off on our jour\u00adney in Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 2010 and were rewarded with some impres\u00adsive foo\u00adtage despite the cir\u00adcum\u00ads\u00adtances. What sticks in our minds is the con\u00adtrast bet\u00adween the old Soviet equip\u00adment<\/a> and the modern farm machi\u00adnery from the West<\/a>. Our \u201eFar\u00adming in Rus\u00adsia<\/a>\u201c farm machi\u00adnery DVD was trans\u00adla\u00adted into three lan\u00adguages and sold in num\u00ade\u00adrous count\u00adries. We added a GoPro Hero action camera to our coll\u00adec\u00adtion of film\u00ading equipment.<\/p>\n

We made some great cont\u00adacts and filmed farm machi\u00adnery at work in ways in which we\u2019d never even ima\u00adgi\u00adned before. In the spring, we made two more trips down under for film\u00ading. Whilst there, we covered thou\u00adsands of miles and filmed on dozens of farms. That was also the first time we\u2019d come across sugar cane cul\u00adti\u00adva\u00adtion. For our film entit\u00adled \u201eFarm Machi\u00adnery in Focus \u2013 Maize Har\u00advest<\/a>\u201c, we stu\u00addied the most powerful forage har\u00adves\u00adters in exis\u00adtence and filmed in seve\u00adral regi\u00adons of Ger\u00admany. Our DVD Reiff Agri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral Con\u00adtrac\u00adtors Vol. 1 was even trans\u00adla\u00adted into seven lan\u00adguages inclu\u00adding Dutch and Luxem\u00adbour\u00adgish. \u201cFar\u00adming in Aus\u00adtra\u00adlia<\/a>\u201c , our most suc\u00adcessful title to date, was released later the same year. The three-part DVD box set was pro\u00addu\u00adced com\u00adple\u00adtely inde\u00adpendently and spon\u00adsor\u00adship-free, as always, and pro\u00advi\u00addes a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive insight into Aus\u00adtra\u00adlian agri\u00adcul\u00adture and the chal\u00adlenges they face down under. We took care of every sin\u00adgle aspect of pro\u00adduc\u00adtion our\u00adsel\u00adves, from rese\u00adar\u00adching, film\u00ading and editing to voice-over and pro\u00adduct design. For 2015, we pro\u00addu\u00adced our first monthly calen\u00addar, which came with an accom\u00adpany\u00ading DVD show\u00adca\u00adsing the sub\u00adjects of each month in action. The calen\u00addar was sold throug\u00adhout Europe. The acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion of our first camera dro\u00adnes ope\u00adned up a new chap\u00adter in our film pro\u00adduc\u00adtion care\u00aders. Our three-part box set \u201eFar\u00adming in France<\/a>\u201c was released in the autumn. In par\u00adal\u00adlel, we set off on a trip to the east of Canada in the sum\u00admer. We filmed in the Onta\u00adrio and Que\u00adbec pro\u00advin\u00adces during forage har\u00adve\u00ads\u00adt\u00ading and got to know the Cana\u00addian agri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral indus\u00adtry once again from a com\u00adple\u00adtely dif\u00adfe\u00adrent angle. Our media library, which con\u00adta\u00adins freely acces\u00adsi\u00adble farm machi\u00adnery pho\u00adto\u00adgraphs lis\u00adted by cate\u00adgory, now com\u00adpri\u00adses over 18,000 images. The landtechnikvideos.de logo was given a refresh. We tra\u00advel\u00adled to see the soya har\u00advest in the Bra\u00adzi\u00adlian state of Mato Grosso. South Ame\u00adrica was a new con\u00adti\u00adnent for us in our film\u00ading history. Ten per\u00adcent of the soy\u00adbe\u00adans pro\u00addu\u00adced world\u00adwide come from here. It was an exci\u00adting pro\u00adject, which would\u00adn\u2019t have been half as suc\u00adcessful if we hadn\u2019t car\u00adried out such in-depth rese\u00adarch before\u00adhand. Just a few weeks later, we tra\u00advel\u00adled to Argen\u00adtina and had a local guide to show us around the coun\u00adtry. We filmed the rice and maize har\u00adve\u00adsts and visi\u00adted some large cattle farms. For just a few weeks, our film\u00ading work in Sibe\u00adria<\/a> pro\u00advi\u00added a stark con\u00adtrast in our sche\u00addule. On our visit to the area bet\u00adween Novo\u00adsi\u00adbirsk and Bar\u00adnaul in Rus\u00adsia, we filmed on hundred-hec\u00adtare fields<\/a>, visi\u00adted the live\u00adstock sheds of the lar\u00adgest dairy far\u00admers in the coun\u00adtry and drove for miles and miles. We were often asked whe\u00adther we would con\u00adsider taking guests with us on our film\u00ading trips. This gave us the idea to offer Far\u00adming Adven\u00adture trips. In spring 2017, we tra\u00advel\u00adled to Canada to begin pre\u00adpa\u00adra\u00adti\u00adons for our first far\u00adming trip to Canada. Just before we finis\u00adhed put\u00adting tog\u00ade\u00adther our latest farm machi\u00adnery DVD, \u201eRus\u00adsian Adven\u00adture<\/a>\u201c, we recei\u00adved per\u00admis\u00adsion to film in the Kirov trac\u00adtor fac\u00adtory in Saint Peters\u00adburg<\/a> after leng\u00adthy dis\u00adcus\u00adsions. For this, we deci\u00added to focus on the agri\u00adcul\u00adtu\u00adral indus\u00adtry in Chile as a con\u00adtrast to Bra\u00adzil and Argen\u00adtina. Tra\u00advel\u00adling along\u00adside vol\u00adca\u00adnoes and the Andes, we filmed on some of the most fer\u00adtile soils in the world. It was yet ano\u00adther high\u00adlight of our film\u00ading trips to date. After seve\u00adral visits in dif\u00adfe\u00adrent sea\u00adsons, we finally filmed in 13 dif\u00adfe\u00adrent US sta\u00adtes.
