Agriculture in North America Vol. 1 (2010 | no speaker)
This DVD is your guide to the first part of an agricultural road trip through the vast expanses of North America. Our tour takes you south of the Canadian city of Calgary right into northern Montana. On the way we show you the Albertan potato harvest, silage production for a farm with 10,000 head of cattle and phytosanitary measures of a mindboggling scale. We take you onto a 25,000-hectare wheat farm run by Hutterites and give an account of life on that farm. Watch 8 combines at work on one field and get a good look at the interesting logistics involved in transporting the harvested crop away. Numerous pictures show both the modern agricultural technology and the impressive landscape of North America. A full –colour brochure gives you interesting background information and tells stories about all aspects of the agricultural machinery in use.
